央视记者探访冬奥保障定点医院

　　日前，中国国际电视台(CGTN)记者探访北京德尔康尼骨科医院，这是冬奥保障定点医院的运动员专用区域首次面向视频媒体开放。

　　探访中，德尔康尼为应对新冠肺炎疫情而为运动员开辟的专用门诊、专用通道、专用病区整体展示;德尔康尼自主组配的中国冰雪运动员机能测试车、参与编辑校对成书的医疗卫生服务常用外语手册、保密管理的运动员健康档案室，还有国家运动员专用病房、肺功能等运动员常用检测设备吸引了探访记者的关注;德尔康尼医院院长、冬奥保障办公室主任贾斌，冬奥办运动员门诊负责人李冬梅，冬奥办医疗组组长宋德臣医生等出镜接受采访。

　　冬奥备战已经进入最后几十天的“临赛冲刺期”，中国国际电视台(CGTN)记者以视频方式探访德尔康尼运动员专用门诊、通道和病房，表达了德尔康尼保障中国冰雪备战参赛的坚定决心，更显示了德尔康尼在全闭环管理、及时准确诊断治疗上的自信。

　　Beijing Winter Olympics: China designates hospitals for its participating athletes

　　China has designated hospitals to provide medical services for its athletes competing in the Winter Olympics. Lu Sirui visits one such hospital in Beijing to find out how its been attending to members of Team China.

　　Unlike most premier medical centers in China, this orthopedic hospital is small in scale. Every day, around 400 patients come here for better and stronger bones and muscles. Apart from this, it also doubles as a designated treatment center for Chinas national athletes.

　　The Olympians for the Winter Games next year have become a priority. Due to the COVID pandemic, the hospital has separate resources and professionals for members of Team China.

　　LU SIRUI Beijing "To ensure health and safety, the passage we are taking now is exclusively for the Chinese athletes, which is almost isolated from the regular operation of the hospital. And this passage will also lead us to the reception center and treatment center that are solely for the athletes."

　　The hospital says more than a third of its personnel are involved in medical support for the Winter Games. Apart from their typical duties, nurses here say they have helped with translation work on handbooks for foreign recruits of athletes and coaches.

　　LI DONGMEI Chief Nurse, Beijing DCN Orthopedic Hospital "On one hand, we learn some foreign languages. But normally, we can find a sentence in the book and show the translation."

　　Doctors say winter sports athletes are at higher risk of asthma due to their long exposure to cold weather. So lung function tests are carried out regularly. The hospital says its sometimes a challenge to ensure the needs of both athletes and regular patients are met.

　　"The athletes tests look almost like this. But because they have a bigger lung volume, when they blow, the range here will be bigger."

　　SONG DECHEN Director, Emergency Department, Beijing DCN Orthopedic Hospital "We would have to prioritize the Winter Games participants most of the time. Regular patients would have to make an appointment beforehand. Also, as a preventive measure against COVID, when the athletes are here for their tests, we disinfect all equipment each time they are used."

　　The hospital previously earned credit as the recovery center for top Chinese figure-skater Zhao Hongbo six months before the Turin Olympics in 2006. Zhao later won silver, which was what many observers called a miracle.

　　JIA BIN Director, Beijing DCN Orthopedic Hospital "We have translated our previous Olympic experiences to our current services very well. But we will keep updating them, as we deepen our understanding of all the sports and related injuries."
